About Alicante and Alicante Airport
I have been a flight attendant for 20 years, and the thought of taking a one-way trip through the airport made my stomach turn. In my head, I thought I would be overwhelmed by the sights and sounds of airports all over Europe. That was nothing compared to Alicante Airport.
Alicante Airport is located just 20 minutes away from Alicante City, and if you are only flying from Alicante City, you are in for a wonderful surprise. As you leave Alicante Airport and drive back to the city, you will see a picture-perfect view of the coast of Alicante, and the beautiful, blue, deep Mediterranean Sea.
That is something that I will never forget.
After a short one-hour drive to Alicante City, I was surprised by what I saw at Alicante Airport. The airport terminal is surrounded by hotels and restaurants with its own area. That is something that I will not see anywhere else, but the airport is absolutely beautiful. If you are in Alicante City, just go to Alicante Airport and walk to the Alicante City Area.
When I walked inside the terminal, I thought it was a small airport with only one terminal. There is a second terminal, and the flights to places such as London, Paris, Amsterdam, and Amsterdam, are located inside.
The Alicante Airport has several shopping opportunities, and one thing I will not see in any other airport is a flight to any destination in Spain in less than 30 minutes. I will take the flight to Alicante City to fly to the city, and then I will have just 30 minutes to get to my hotel and take a short rest before checking out of the hotel to drive to my next destination.
My flight to Alicante City was great. I had never flown to Alicante City before, and I had no idea that Alicante Airport was so big and amazing. I knew nothing about the flights that were available from Alicante City, and I was able to find the fastest flight available to the City.
If you are visiting Alicante City, you will be surprised to see the beautiful sea. There are not many countries that have a beach with turquoise waters and white sand, and I will never forget the way that the airport was set up. You walk out of the terminal in Alicante City, and you will see the beautiful coastline of Alicante City in front of you. You can take the flight to Alicante City and then take another flight to anywhere in the City.
There are flights from Alicante City to Porto, Lisbon, London, Amsterdam, Barcelona, and a few other destinations in Spain. Just take a flight and travel to the city and then drive to your hotel. That is another reason why I love traveling to Alicante City. I was able to walk straight out of the airport to the heart of the city.
Alicante City – Spain
You do not need a map or a plane ticket to find all of the places in the City. You can find any place and any restaurant you want to go to in the City. When you travel to the City, just drive around to see all of the beautiful cities and scenery.
Alicante City is located in Spain, and you do not need to go to the airport to fly to Alicante City. The City is located just 20 minutes from Alicante Airport. That is something I will never forget, and I know that if I traveled to any city in Europe, I would love to go to the City.
Enjoy and go to Alicante City now. You will not regret it.
When you travel to Alicante City, you will see beautiful beaches, the City Area, and the Airport Area. If you fly from the City, take a short drive to the Airport Area, and then you will have just 30 minutes to get back to the city and check out your hotel. That is something that you will not find anywhere else.
If you go to Alicante City, take the time to walk around the City Area and the Airport Area. You will not regret it. Just take the time to walk around and enjoy everything that the City has to offer.

Cape Town Airport, South Africa
I hunt for a lovely site to photograph near the Cape Town Airport every time I fly from the United States to South Africa. This time was no different. After takeoff, I found an open spot and started snapping away. Unfortunately, at the time I noticed this city and skyway building, my battery was already running down because of the long trip. I was hoping I would be able to come back after the end of my Cape Town trip to see if my camera battery died and to find this spot again.
As you can see from the photographs in this page, Cape Town isn’t the only city with stunning skyways. On my skyway posts, you’ll find a variety of other great city skylines. I hope this one gets you looking for more skyways to capture with your camera and view.
At least two different flights take off from this Cape Town Airport every day. This shows how busy and huge Cape Town is. Right away, you can see that this area is the center of the city. On the right of the photo, you can see City Hall, the capitol building for South Africa.
Since we weren’t flying out of this airport, I began wandering about the city for other spectacular sites to photograph. In Cape Town, I discovered a street where many people take to the air to photograph the city below. The street is Regent Road, and it is located in the Old Town district. I believe this is one of the neighborhoods in Cape Town that is still being built up and developed. Although, this picture was taken in September 2021. Even though the colors of this area are faded in this photo, I still think the design is fantastic. There are two rows of stores on the street to the right of the photo. There is even a big flight of steps to get down to the sidewalk. The clouds were not very high in the sky at the time and I was hoping for a higher flight of stairs so the clouds could be above me. After taking some of my own pictures in the area, I turned around to look to see if I could find this cool street again. When I did, I got a view that I would have liked to take another picture to give the perspective to show you more of the city. There were no clouds left in the sky in this picture. In the distance, you can see the summit of Cape Town.
Cape Town City Hall and the Weather
Last but not least, I’d like to show you the view from this lovely city hall. The skyway is undoubtedly one of Cape Town’s most magnificent bridges. When I took this photo, the sun was already setting on the horizon and the sun was just starting to go down in the sky. The weather was extremely beautiful at that moment. I hope you get to see this view as well.
How I Found Cape Town’s Skyways
In Cape Town, I indicated that I took a different path to snap my photo. This road is a short drive through the South Africa city of Mitchell’s Pass. Mitchell’s Pass is a very scenic road and a very nice drive through this part of South Africa. When you drive through this part of Cape Town, you can take a beautiful view of Table Mountain. However, the scenery around Cape Town was amazing. The drive to Cape Town across Mitchell’s Pass reminds me of a road with skyways erected on top of it. I actually thought that the skyways actually are built on top of this road because of the cables.
After driving through Mitchell’s Pass, I ended up finding a flight of stairs that looks like it has skyways built on top of it. It is actually not very far from the city, so I went down to the steps. I got out of my car and started taking some pictures. I took a picture of the skyways, the stairs, and a flying bird. When I was looking through the camera to get the photos, I realized that the bird was taking a flight over the city. It was a nice way to finish up this post.
